New Mini-Sessions

Announcing our new Mini-Sessions...

First up we have Snow Days in February.  This is a great new mini-session that is sure to catch your kid’s big smiles. Bundle them up in a coat, sweater, or just a cute shirt and top it off with a hat and scarf.  We provide the snow, sled, and fun.   This is your chance for perfectly cute snow pictures without the red noses (and snot!).

Mini-Sessions are perfect for the families on the run that still want awesome portraits. Sessions are 15 minutes and no order appointments are needed afterwards.  You just pop in and pick up!

Remember sessions are limited so call today (740) 349-2260.

Check the Promo Section on the website for sample portraits.

Artist David Baker Coming Soon

Perceptual Habits
by David Baker

Please join for another Final Friday Art Show - January 29th from 5-8 pm.

David Baker uses muted and desaturated colors to convey the raw shape and form of an object. He stated, “The more I used color to describe form in space, I realized how much color and value are in opposition.”Baker’s paintings explore this conflict between color, value, form, and space.  When he paints landscapes he seeks to reduce observations into ambiguity; reorganizing abstract shapes of value and color to fit a compositional backbone.

Baker received his BFA in painting/drawing from The Ohio State University in 2003 and currently teaches.

The Kelley Koklich & Joey Forster Wedding

This weekend was a real treat. My company was able to provide Photography and Wedding Planning for the Koklich family.  Argyle Wedding Planning is a little known division as it is only advertised by word of mouth.  While Leah Marks was managing the facilities, I was out in Granville with the bridal party.  Let me just say I have never laughed so much on a photo shoot as I did that day.

Kelley and Joey were such an awesome couple to work with.  I look forward to photographing all of their babies in the future! (was it 8 or 10 kids Joey?)

Dan Towning

Four Elements

This month we are please to have Dan Towning featured at the gallery.

Show opening will be October 30th, 5-8pm

The show runs from October 30 - November 23.

Dan is a self -taught potter, painter and sculptor.  He draws on the natural characteristics of the medium, whether clay, vine, willow, or the natural minerals in the pottery glaze.  Dan guides the medium, but allows the piece to create itself.

Along with his pottery, he creates uniquely shaped baskets from natural materials.  Many of his baskets are woven from Honeysuckle vine and more recently from willow branches.  "I like to capitalize on their natural characteristics of the medium.  The basket forms are inspired by the shape of a heart, lung, a seashell or even a birds nest.  Nature creating nature," Dan says.

Join us for a wonderful Final Friday in Downtown Newark.
