Stop in next Friday for our Final Fridays gallery opening from 5-8pm! This month we will have "Modern Mud", wonderful ceramic sculptures and mixed media art, by Tom and Karen Markgraf. The theme for this Final Friday is Dog Days of summer, so bring your favorite 4 legged friend with you! There will be pictures and buttons being made of pets & owners, as well as face painting, charicatures, doggy treats & more! As always the downtown shops and restaurants will be open late..jpg)
Here are the six month pictures of the newest Jonas boy! It's been great to be able to watch this family grow, this is the second child we have done portraits for! He is sooo adorable and almost rivals his older brother (who we've also photographed since his infancy) in cuteness! Their mom loves the black and white baby block frames that we do. She has one done every three months for her older son and is now following tradition with their newest bundle of Joy! Enjoy!

Ginny Sharkey's Debut Show
This collection of artist Ginny Skarkey's paintings is appropriately called "Beauty Found" which came to fruition in her attempt to be attuned to the charm in everyday life. When she paints she tries to share moments that speak to her; a child enjoying a popsicle, a chicken resting on a wicker chair on the front porch, shadows sliding across a country road; everyday things that one appreciates when you take the time to.
Show opening Friday, May 29 from 5-8 pm
Show runs from May 29 - June 22
Well, the Luckeydoo Wedding was truely luckey last saturday. On a day that was slated for rain all afternoon, we didn't get a drop until late into the reception. Congratulations Jamie and Ron! Have a great honeymoon (I'm jealous!).

So we went out for a location shoot Tuesday to an old barn at the new Dawes' wetlands. I had used the spot for a few shoots last year and I loved the old whitewashed wood look.
Pulling into the parking lot this time was a little different. I start laughing in disbelief, the barn was gone. It would be one thing if a recent tornado lifted it up a ruined it, but there was a machinery right next to the perfectly level dirt pile where the barn used to be. I wish people would be more concerned with beauty and history than safety and pretty new things for a change. I love most everything old, weathered, rusty and full of character.
We set out to find a new spot, something I love to do anyway, and came across another good barn. It was next to a small church but was on someone's personal property. Laura received permission from a very surprised owner to use the barn. (they thought their barn was junk!)
Here is the Murphy's favorite image. I was able to get a rare smile out of Bryan. His mom was thrilled!

This is Abby, our beautiful ambassador from Newark Catholic!
Here are some of our favorite shots. It was a great adventure to do portraits at the pool for her.

What a successful night! We had over 180 guests stop in to see the amazing work of Don Gunnerson! Don showed over 60 years of his work, while also celebrating his birthday with us! So it was a great to treat to everyone that stopped in! We had live music this month, which set the perfect mood for excellent company, conversation and FUN! Thank you to everyone that stopped in to show your support! It is greatly appreciated and we hope to see you next Final Friday for another exciting evening!

Just wanted to say thanks for making such a dreaded idea into such a great time. Your work was truly amazing, and could not have been any closer to the vision of how i wanted my pictures to turn out. I would recommend anyone to argyle for their senior pictures, thanks again!
